Under Glass

I’m feeling trapped
Like a butterfly that's been
pinned under glass
For too long
I find it hard to breathe
'Cause you’re slowly
You're slowly suffocating me

On a dusty shelf
I’m on display
Pleased with yourself
You got a hold over me
Will you ever set me free
I’ll never be free again
Will I ever be free to fly again

Break this glass cage
That you keep me in,
I feel that I’m fading
Your love
Is just a shadow box shut tight
Or is this
Is this to be my end

On a dusty shelf
I’m on display
Pleased with yourself
You gotta hold over me
Will you ever set me free
I’ll never be free again
Will I ever be free to fly again

This shadowbox will be my ending
This shadowbox will be my ending

On a dusty shelf
I'm on display
Pleased with yourself
You gotta a hold over me
Will you ever set me free
I'll never be free again
Will I ever be free to fly again

Vacant (Brought the House Down)

If home is where the heart is
Mine is vacant, falling down
Dust encrusted boxes
Faded pictures on the wall
Only
The blur of lines are seen
Tarnished frames remain
On cracked and peeling paint

Did you love me
Or just want to be
The star of my memory
From center stage
You played the part so well
Now your ghost stands in your place
You brought the house down
You brought the house down

Chunks of plaster fall to the floor
Like bones slowly break
Splintered wood from all my tears
Left damage in their wake
I thought
Our love cemented fast
But hard sand doesn't last
So now I'm forced to ask (ask ask)

Did you love me
Or just want to be
The star of my memory
From center stage
You played the part so well
Now your ghost stands in your place
You brought the house down
You brought the house down

And you still bring the house down around me
And you still bring the house down around me

Did you love me
Or just want to be
The star of my memory
From center stage
You played the part so well
Now your ghost stands in your place
You brought the house down
You brought the house down (as an echo)

Can I build again
Or am I beyond repair
Is anything worth saving
I'm afraid to even dare
Someone like you might come along
And tear it down again
Without a second thought
And it would be
My end
My end
My end

My end

Forgotten Garden (Tammy's Song)

Once in a weed infested garden
A wild red rose had grown
Amongst the brush and the tangles
Oh, her beauty stood alone
Though the weeds tried to choke her
In her dark tiny spot
The rose grew even more lovely
In the garden that time forgot

Sometimes beauty comes from places
Where the ugliness is found
And rays of hope
Just like sunshine
Spilled her heart upon the ground

One day a young man was walking by
Saw the rose as she shone
He thought that he could save her
So he picked her and took her home
In a glass vase he put her in
Placed her upon a shelf
When her beauty faded
He replaced her with something else

Sometimes beauty comes from places
Where the ugliness is found
And rays of hope
Just like sunshine
Spilled her heart upon the ground

The rose wasn't a flower at all
She was a dear friend of mine
She made my life more beautiful
If only for a short, sweet time
And the times that I miss her most
I see her in my dreams
Her face is full of love and laughter
She’s happier now it seems

Sometimes beauty comes from places
Where the ugliness is found
And rays of hope
Just like sunshine
Spilled her heart upon the ground
Still upon the ground

God saw her withered loveliness
And with gentle loving care
Carried her into Heaven
No forgotten gardens growing there
